Waffleology Waffy’s, LLC offers a variety of Waffles (both sweet and savory) that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Our company believes in providing a gourmet snack made of natural ingredients to satisfy consumer’s cravings while offering nutritional value. Our Belgian Waffles are only made with natural ingredients (No Trans Fat) and has a lower than average calorie content compared to most fast food snack.
A waffle in a traditional sense is a batter cake or a dough ball cooked in a waffle iron patterned to give a distinctive and characteristic shape. There are several regional variations based on the type and shape of the iron and the batter recipe. WAFFY’S PRODUCTS
Waffy’s Brussel’s Waffle The Brussel’s Waffle is prepared from a yeast-leavened batter. It is rectangular in shape with golden-brown exterior and has deep divots. It is often lighter, thicker, crispier, and/or has larger pockets compared to other waffle varieties. Brussel’s Waffles are traditionally served with a variety of toppings such as powdered sugar, whipped cream, ice cream, fruits and chocolate. Our Waffy’s Brussel’s Waffle is unique in that our batter is sugar free and made with whole wheat flour. This neutral recipe allows us to use our waffles as a sweet or as a savory meal (cf menu). This particular waffle is diabetic friendly and low in calorie.
Waffy’s Liege Waffles The Liege Waffle (from the city of Liège, in eastern Belgium) is the best kept Belgian secret (aside from the Chocolate ). This waffle is usually bought and eaten warm on the street of Belgium. This waffle is traditionally smaller, sweeter, and denser than the "Brussel’s waffles". The Liege waffle is golden-yellow, more dense in texture and has a caramelized sugar coating on the outside giving it a delightful sweetness. What makes the Liege Waffle so unique is the special crystallized Sugar (called Pearled Sugar) used in the waffle’s recipe. The Pearled Sugar is what gives the unique taste and texture to this waffle, as it melts and caramelizes when cooking. This sugar is hard to find as it only exists in Belgium.
Waffy’s Hot Pocket Waffy’s Hot Pocket is a hot stuffed sandwich (similar to a traditional Panini) that has the shape of a waffle. The uniqueness of this product is its soft Brioche like texture. Waffy’s Hot Pocket is artfully made by hand using only the highest quality ingredients. Pearled Sugar Pearl Sugar is very coarse, hard, opaque white, and does not melt at temperatures typically used for baking. The product usually is made by crushing blocks of white sugar, then sifting to obtain fragments of a given diameter. The nice, white pearls will give your waffles or cookies an extra crunch, and a nice decorative touch Aside from Waffy’s delicious original recipes, authentic Belgian waffles are unique because of the special waffle irons used to bake them. These waffle irons are only available in Belgium and give Belgian waffles their signature crunchy-golden outside and fluffy inside. In keeping with traditions, Waffy’s is able to prepare the authentic Belgian waffle by using its own Belgian imported cast iron presses. In Europe, Belgian Waffles are one of few products prepared to be eaten "on the go". Waffy’s is able to replicate this concept by serving the waffles in a paper wrapping for customers on the move.
